The Game Plan

I'm thirty years old and not where I intended to be in life. No acreage in the country, no kids and no wonderful husband. I do have a job I enjoy, a cute house in a nice subdivision with great neighbors, a family that loves me and few close friends who love me in spite of myself so life is pretty stinking good. I share my house with four dogs and a cranky cat. This is my struggle to deal with the little crises and drama that comes with being single, owning an older home and trying to keep the dogs from taking over the house.

This is Opie. He's my pit bull / pointer mix. He's the happiest dog I've even known and I wouldn't trade him for anything despite the many issues he adds to my life.

Heidi is my beagle mix. Sweet, loving, and always smoozing for affection, she thinks it's her job to keep the neighborhood squirrel free and she takes her job seriously.

.
Einstein. Einstein is the dog who I didn't want. I dragged him to adoption events for almost 2 years before giving up. He's nervous, shy and high strung. The exact opposite of everything I normally look for in a dog but somehow he works in my house and now I can't imaging the house without him. He's sweet, mostly happy and we are up to 6 people in his life who he trust enough to let pet him

There's also a foster dog who will get her own post soon and a cat who's less then 10 pounds but runs the house with an iron claw.
